Westmont looking for feedback on new Comprehensive Plan survey

Published: Friday, March 22, 2013 4:42 p.m. CDT

WESTMONT — The Westmont Community Development Department, along with consultants Houseal Lavinge, have launched a Visual Preference Survey.

Westmont citizens can take the survey to rate images of various business districts and clusters throughout the region. The goal of the survey is to better gauge community ideals regarding positive aesthetic qualities in the business community, officials said.

“Over the past year, the village has actively engaged the entire community as we work together to plan future improvements,” said Community Development Director Shannon Malik. “This survey allows people to view and rate dozens of images to help us get an idea of the community's preferences with regard to architectural style, development scale, and other factors. Resident participation will serve as a guide to the type and quality of future development.”
