Latest candidate withdrawal leaves District 99 school board race uncontested
DOWNERS GROVE — The District 99 school board race is now noncompetitive heading into the April 9 election after Martin Gorski became the third candidate to drop out of the race.
In a brief statement emailed to reporters on Thursday evening, Gorski cited personal reasons for his withdrawal.
"I continue to believe that the Illinois school system needs better financial monitoring and internal controls and plan on continuing my efforts to inform the local school boards and the general public about the potential problems in this area," he said in the statement.
