ELMHURST — School District 48 will conduct a free developmental screening of children ages 3 to 5 at Salt Creek Primary School, 980 Riverside Drive, Elmhurst on April 26.

Children must live in the district, but not be currently enrolled in kindergarten.

Appointments are necessary and can be made by calling the Salt Creek Primary School office at 630-832-6122.

The screening process identifies how the child is currently developing. Assessed areas include speech, language, small muscle skills, social and emotional development and pre-readiness skills.

The screening is conducted by professional school staff and takes about 60 minutes. Screening results are shared with parents within a week of the screening.
