Prep Roundup- Glenbard East girls soccer undefeated through two games

East, Addison Trail and Willowbrook competed in indoor track conference meets

BOYS INDOOR TRACK
Glenbard East
The Rams finished seventh at the DuPage Valley Conference meet on Friday. Junior Jack Peters earned second place in the 800-meter run, finishing less than a quarter second behind West Aurora's Brandon McKay. The Rams' 4 x 400 relay also took second (3:32.50).

Addison Trail The Blazers 4 x 800 relay team took first at the West Suburban Gold meet Friday at Morton. Joe Atria, Kevin Otte, Luis Miranda and Javier Valdez ran a time of 8:41.15 in the final. Valdez also won the 600-meter run (1:27.45), and Atria won the 1,600 (4:36.31). As a team, AT was fifth.

Willowbrook Matt Burns won the 400 at the West Suburban Gold meet. He beat his nearest competitor by more than two seconds, racing to a time of 52.31 seconds. The Warriors were fourth in the team standings.

GIRLS INDOOR TRACK

The Rams claimed sixth place at the DVC meet on Thursday at North Central College. Freshman Lindsay Graham had an impressive meet, winning the 3,200-meter run and coming in second in the 1,600. East was also second in the 4 x 200 relay. Anitra Davis, Stephany Flores, Corinthia Jordan and Darian Wellington clocked in at 1:49.71. Senior Jamie Gradishar was second in the pole vault.

Addison Trail The Blazers placed seventh and scored just eight points while hosting the West Suburban Gold meet on Friday, but the future looks bright after a third-place finish at the freshman/sophomore level.

Willowbrook Three Warrior athletes won individual events to help Willowbrook take third at the West Suburban Gold meet at Addison Trail. Senior Colleen Krawczykowski and junior Danielle Beamon went 1-2 in the long jump. Krawczykowski jumped 16 feet, 1 inch in the finals and Beamon posted 15-10. Younger sister Molly Krawczykowski won the 800 with a time of 2:22.23. Junior Jada Stills won the shot put (36-7.5).

GIRLS SOCCER
Glenbard East
The Rams opened the season with a 2-2 draw at district-rival Glenbard West on Friday. Jess DeJong and Brittany Paganucci scored against the Hilltoppers.

The next day, they picked up their first win of the season, 3-1 at Addison Trail. Jessica Whipple, Jordyn Fulton and Nicole Alfaro netted goals in the win.

The Rams take on Willowbrook on Friday and will play in St. Francis' Springfest Classic Monday-Wednesday at Olympic Park in Schaumburg.

Addison Trail The Blazers fell to Glenbard East 3-1 on Saturday. They will compete in St. Francis' Springfest Classic Monday-Wednesday at Olympic Park in Schaumburg.

Montini After beating Westmont 8-0 in the season opener last Wednesday, the Broncos lost to Notre Dame (2-0) and Bartlett (4-0).

BOYS VOLLEYBALL
Addison Trail
Oak Park-River Forest beat the Blazers 25-15, 25-19 in Monday's season opener in Addison.

BOYS GYMNASTICS
Addison Trail
The Blazers were ninth with a score of 93.35 at the 10-team Krupicka Invitational at Hinsdale Central. Marco Martinez and Akash Patel competed in the all-around for AT.
