VILLA PARK — State Rep. Deb Conroy, D-Elmhurst, is inviting local residents to the first meeting of the Veterans’ Issues Advisory Committee at 6 p.m. April 4 at her constituent services office, 28 S. Villa Ave. in Villa Park.

"Ensuring that veterans have access to and are informed of the benefits that they deserve is essential," Conroy said in a news release. "These are individuals who have dedicated their lives to serving our country, sometimes dangerously, and it is our duty as public servants to provide the services they need when they return home."

The Veterans’ Issues Advisory Committee is the latest in a series of public meetings that Conroy has hosted for members of the community. It will offer a way for Conroy to talk with veterans in the community, as well as others who are interested in this issue, about state benefits and programs for veterans in Illinois.

For more information or to join one of Conroy's citizen advisory committees, contact Conroy's full-time constituent services office by calling 630-415-3520 or emailing RepDebConroy@gmail.com.
