Glenbard East students participate in research project at Argonne

LOMBARD — Two seniors at Glenbard East High School are spending their final year of high school participating in a special research opportunity offered through Argonne National Laboratory near Darien and Lemont.

Jourdan Ewoldt and Wendi Guraziu are working under the guidance of their science teacher, Karen Beardsley, and Argonne scientists to complete the lab's Exemplary Student Research Program.

Since the beginning of the school year, Ewoldt and Guraziu have been working to develop a research project, submit their proposal and use the Advanced Photon Source at Argonne to carry out the experiment.
