Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra presents third chamber series concert

ELMHURST — The Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra Chamber Series at Mayslake presents its third concert of the season, “Baroque Glories,” at 2:30 p.m. April 13 at Mayslake Peabody Estate, 1717 31st St., Oak Brook.

This concert offers an opportunity to hear Dutch soprano Josefien Stoppelenburg in Handel’s "Gloria."
Re-discovered in the year 2000, this showpiece includes some of the composer’s most virtuosic coloratura passages.

The afternoon of Baroque music also features Rika Seko, violin; Katherine Carter, violin; Stephen Alltop, harpsichord; and musicians of the Elmhurst Symphony, and includes Handel's German arias and favorites such as Haydn's "Concerto for Violin and Harpsichord."

Tickets are $25 for adults, $23 for seniors, $7 for students and $20 each for groups of 10 or more.
Call 630-941-0202 for tickets and visit elmhurstsymphony.org for information.
