Letter: Fiscal 'cake' mix not so great

Published: Friday, March 15, 2013 2:03 p.m. CDT

To the Editor:

The fiscal cliff issue is looming toward a tightrope of uncertainty. Let us assume the accounting arm of the government will have the propensity to be swayed toward certain political parties.

With a Republican party victory, the wealthy will prosper. If the Democratic party prospers, the middle class will gain some prosperity. It is likened to mixing ingredients to make a delicious cake. Proper amounts of this 'n' that make for a tasty treat, otherwise, yuck!

Regretfully, as politicians gather behind closed doors in the halls of Washington, D.C., the mix will probably turn out to be a so-so-tasting delight!
