Lyons police charge parolee with felony theft after hit-and-run

LYONS — A parolee who left the scene of a hit-and-run accident March 13 has been charged with felony theft, police reported.

Chester M. Parzych, 50, of Streamwood, was arrested March 13 at his Streamwood home and charged with felony theft, driving with a revoked license and leaving the scene of an accident.

Police reported the hit and run accident occurred around 11:30 a.m. in the 8100 block of Ogden Avenue. Police said Parzych was driving a rental truck when he struck several vehicles in a parking lot and then sideswiped a vehicle near Ogden and Amelia avenues before fleeing.
