Artist Rachel Weaver Rivera joins West Chicago City Museum for collage workshop

WEST CHICAGO —The West Chicago City Museum will host a free collage workshop as part of its latest exhibit, "Rites of Passage."

Artist Rachel Weaver Rivera, founder of Imagine Art Studio, will work with workshop participants to create collages out of paper and photo mementos they will bring with them.

The workshop will take place from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. March 30 at the West Chicago City Museum, 132 Main St. Space is limited, so those wishing to take part in the workshop must register with the museum at or 630-231-3376. Both families and individuals are invited to participate.

The "Rites of Passage" exhibit will close April 6. The gallery is open from noon until 4 p.m. Wednesday through Friday. Beginning in April, the museum will be open at the same time Saturday.
