Willowbrook, Addison Trail students to participate in Relay For Life event

VILLA PARK — This week, students at Willowbrook and Addison Trail high schools are gearing up for the third-annual District 88 All Youth Relay For Life event, which will happen this weekend at Willowbrook.

Students have set a fundraising goal of $60,000 to support the American Cancer Society's research and service efforts.

Relay For Life is an overnight event that celebrates cancer survivors and commemorates victims of the disease. It also is the culmination of fundraising efforts for District 88 students and staff.

The event will run from 6 p.m. Saturday to 6 a.m. Sunday.
