Registration for Run the Ridge 5K now open

The 9th Annual Run the Ridge 5K and 1K run/walk takes place at 8 a.m. June 1 at County Line Square in Burr Ridge.

BURR RIDGE — Right Fit Sports Fitness Wellness will host the 9th Annual Run the Ridge 5K and 1K run/walk at 8 a.m. June 1 at County Line Square in Burr Ridge.

Proceeds from the event will benefit ProActive Kids (PAK), a childhood obesity program with the mission of advancing child health and reversing the obesity trend, will be the benefactor of this year’s race.

The 5K entry fee for is $35 until May 25, when it increases to $45. The fee included a specialty race t-shirt, raffle ticket, gift certificate prize opportunities, a goody bag and more. The 1K entry fee is $15.

Race packets can be picked up from noon to 7 p.m. May 31 at Loyola University Health System in Burr Ridge.
