Former Wheaton North Booster Club president charged with stealing more than $10k from club

WHEATON — The DuPage County State's Attorney's Office has charged a former Wheaton North Booster Club president with stealing more than $10,000 from the club, according to a news release.

Dorothy "Dee" Horky, 57, of Carol Stream is accused of taking cash advances against the Wheaton North Booster Club credit card between July and November 2012 after her term as president had expired, according to the release.

It is alleged that Horky withdrew money totaling $9,838.32 from a Booster Club bank account and transferred those funds to pay for the cash advances, officials said.
