Carol Stream woman charged with stealing more than $10k from high school club
CAROL STREAM — A Carol Stream resident has been charged with stealing more than $10,000 from a high school club, according to a news release from the DuPage County State's Attorney's Office.
Dorothy "Dee" Horky, 57, is accused of taking cash advances against the Wheaton North Booster Club credit card between July and November 2012 after her term as president of the organization had expired, according to the release.
It is alleged that Horky withdrew money totaling $9,838.32 from a Booster Club bank account and transferred those funds to pay for the cash advances, officials said.
