Shooting woes cost St. Joseph in sectional final
Chargers shoot 22 percent in 50-40 loss to Orr
RIVERSIDE — St. Joseph coach Gene Pingatore has seen this happen to his team all season long.
The Chargers put up a low shooting percentage and lost a close game. This time it was to Orr in the Class 3A sectional final at Riverside Brookfield Friday night.
The game was tied after three quarters, but the Spartans pulled away in the fourth to win 50-40. St. Joseph (18-13) saw its season end after shooting just 22 percent from the field and 13 percent from three-point range.
