Ryan Jackson picks up Great Lakes Valley Conference honor

ROMEOVILLE — Lewis University sophomore guard and Riverside Brookfield alum Ryan Jackson was named to the all-conference team in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.

Jackson, the 2012 GLVC Freshman of the Year, was the Flyers' leading scorer at 16.4 points per game. He was the fifth leading scorer in the GLVC.

He also averaged 4.2 rebounds, 2.0 assista and 1.5 steals for the Flyers. Jackson most recently scored 30 points in the Flyers' 88-80 overtime loss to Southern Indiana in the quarterfinals of the GLVC tournament on Thursday.

Lewis finished the regular season 19-9 and will have to wait for the the March 10 Division II selection show for word on whether they will continue the season in the NCAA Midwest Regional Tournament.
