WARRENVILLE — The documentary "Girl Rising," which tells the stories of girls around the world who are struggling to receive an education, will be shown at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Regal Cantera Stadium, 28250 Diehl Road in Warrenville.

The event will be hosted by Farrah Qazi of North Aurora, a human and civil rights lawyer who belongs to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community based in Glen Ellyn, and Ayisha Sami of Algonquin, a mother of two who belongs to the American Muslim Community in Algonquin.

Qazi said she received the documentary from 10x10, a global campaign focused on girls' education.
