Wheaton to host budget workshops

WHEATON — Wheaton residents will have an opportunity to learn about the city's proposed fiscal year 2013-14 budget at three upcoming workshop sessions.

The sessions will take place at 9 a.m. Saturday, 7 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. March 16. All sessions wil be held in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 303 W. Wesley St.

City staff and council members will be present to review the proposed budget, which is now available on the city's website, www.wheaton.il.us.

Residents will be able to comment on the budget during a public hearing March 25. The budget will go into effect May 1 after it is first approved by the city council.
