WARRENVILLE — The Warrenville Police Department has safely located a man missing since September after sending a press release Wednesday morning asking for assistance, according to police officials.

Eugene T. Chalus, 56, was last seen in the Wheaton area in early September when he was reported missing Sept. 19 to the Warrenville Police Department, according to the release.

Chalus was not known to leave on his own for extended periods of time, the release reads. He had no contact with family members since he was reported missing. Chalus was known to frequent the Downers Grove, Elgin and Wheaton areas, according to police officials.

The police department later sent an email to say Chalus had been found.

"The missing adult indicated in this morning's press release has been safely located," wrote Laura Schwarting, administrative assistant to the chief. "Thank you for your time and assistance."
