Riverside police make DUI arrests

RIVERSIDE — Police made three DUI arrests in Riverside over the weekend, including a felony.

Officers stopped a vehicle at 2:50 a.m. Saturday driven by Francisco Soto, 42, of the 2700 block of Kenilworth Avenue in Berwyn for a traffic violation. Soto was stopped for drifting into oncoming traffic and driving through a steady red light at Harlem Avenue and 26th Street, police said, and he was determined to be intoxicated and subsequently was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and other traffic violations.

At 8:15 a.m. Saturday, a Riverside officer on patrol heard the sounds of a traffic crash in the area of Harlem and Ogden avenues. When the officer arrived at the intersection, he observed that a traffic crash had taken place and one vehicle had major front-end damage.
