Seven Elmhurst businesses allegedly caught selling tobacco or alcohol to minors Thursday

ELMHURST — Employees at seven Elmhurst businesses were cited after allegedly selling tobacco or alcohol to minors in a sting Thursday, police said.

Employees at BP, 1003 N. York Road and York Road Mart, 641 N. York Road, were cited for the sale of tobacco to a minor at 6:13 p.m. and 6:39 p.m. Thursday.

Employees at Bambu Thai, 1035 S. York St.; York Liquors, 552 S. York Road; Convenient Food Mart, 416 N. York Road; Waverton Hotel bar, 642 N. York Road; and Arena Sports Bar, 630 W. Lake St. were cited for sale of alcohol to a minor between 6:18 and 8:32 p.m. Thursday.
