2012-2013 East DuPage all-area girls basketball team

Angela Bruno
School:
Willowbrook
Year: Senior
The Warriors' point guard set the tone for the team as the floor leader. Bruno was a three-year starter for Willowbrook and averaged eight points and 3.4 assists per game this season. "She was the reason we didn't get pressed," said Willowbrook coach Terry Harrell. "When we got out on the run or when they tried to press us, it was a moot point."

Kelsey Horvath
School:
Addison Trail
Year: Senior
A top perimeter threat, Horvath averaged 10.3 points per game to lead the Blazers. The guard was a three-year varsity player for AT.

Malayna Johnson (MVP- read more about her here.)
School:
Montini
Year: Senior
The 6-foot-4 Johnson is one of the top inside players in the state. She averages 8.4 points and 7.3 rebounds per game and is always a threat to block a shot. Johnson will try to become the first girls basketball player to ever win four IHSA state titles this weekend.

Molly Krawczykowski
School:
Willowbrook
Year: Junior
The skinny guard plays longer and tougher than she appears. Krawczykowski was second on the Warriors with five rebounds to go with nine points and a team-high three assists per game. She was also Willowbrook's top defender with three steals per game. The Warriors had a good season, but Krawczykowski will be looking to lead the team to more success next year.

Kelly Karlis
School:
Montini
Year: Junior
At 6-foot-2 Karlis, possesses both the skill set of a guard and the length of a post player. That combination makes her one of the toughest players in the state to guard. She averages 7.8 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists for the Lady Broncos.

AnnaBell Lansdowne
School:
York
Year: Senior
York coach John Constable raved about Lansdowne's work ethic and will to win. The senior guard was a leader by example for a Dukes squad that had just three seniors. Lansdowne averaged 13 points per game.

Kelli LeGrand
School:
Timothy Christian
Year: Senior
LeGrand was just behind Sara Hodges as the Trojans' leading scorer. LeGrand averaged 8.5 points and 3.1 rebounds per game to go with team-highs in steals (2.4) and assists (2.6).

Sara Ross
School:
Montini
Year: Junior
Ross does a little bit of everything for Montini. She leads the team in assists at 3.1 per game and is second in rebounds at 4.9 per game. Ross averages 6.7 points per game.

Molly Schlecht
School:
York
Year: Junior
York's top interior player was Schlecht, who stepped up her game as a junior. The 6-foot-3 center averaged 7.2 points per game and a team-high 7.1 rebounds.

Anita Sterling
School:
Willowbrook
Year: Senior
Sterling averaged 14.2 points and eight rebounds per game to lift the Warriors to a 22-6 season. The senior guard stepped up down the stretch to lead Willowbrook in scoring each of the season's final 10 games. She was a three-year starter for the Warriors.
