Illinois state trooper injured in Wheaton crash

WHEATON — An Illinois State Police District 2 trooper was injured in a crash Thursday morning at Geneva Road and Gary Avenue in Wheaton, according to a release from the Illinois State Police.

Multiple vehicles were involved in the crash, which occurred about 7:45 a.m. Four people, including the trooper, were transported to local hospitals for injuries that were not life-threatening.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, according to the release.
