Brookfield police urge caution after string of burglaries

BROOKFIELD—Brookfield police have had three burglary calls within 24 hours and are urging resdents to be on their toes for anything suspicious in their neighborhood.
The burglaries occurred in the 4500 block of Oak Avenue, 4400 block of Deyo Avenue and the 4600 block of Maple Avenue.
Stolen items include firearms, televisions, computers, video game systems, purses and jewelry.
Police also said suspects are most likely knocking on doors to determine if anyone is home. Entry is often gained through doors and windows away from street view.
Exercise caution with solicitors or anyone appearing at the home.
Most burglaries are occuring between 7 a.m. and 8:30 p.m.
