Economic outlook discussed during multi-chamber luncheon
BURR RIDGE — Eleven participating chambers and 263 people came out Tuesday for the Economic Lookout Luncheon featuring guest speaker William Strauss, senior economist for the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago.
Strauss spoke of the current economic climate and where he sees it heading in the years ahead. It's a subject he's well familiar with, as he does 100 of these speaking engagements across the country each year.
Strauss spoke on an array of topics, including the housing market, gross domestic product, energy and the national debt.
