BERWYN — A Berwyn man faces charges after he allegedly posted threatening messages on the Berwyn Police Department's Facebook page at 12:41 p.m. Feb. 19, according to police reports.

Alexander Garcia, 23, of 1534 S. Clarence Ave., posted a message threatening bodily harm to an officer, police said.

Garcia had earlier sent a letter to the police department on Dec. 14, allegedly threatening all officers who were involved in the arrest of Garcia's brother for an unrelated incident, according to police reports.

Police went to Garcia's home, where he apologized for threatening officers. While being handcuffed, he allegedly kicked one officer and spit at another.

Garcia was charged with harassment by electronic communication and battery, police said.
