Bolingbrook High School to host Valley View math seminar
BOLINGBROOK—Four Bolingbrook schools are sponsoring a family presentation on the importance of math as it relates to the new Valley View School District Common Core Standards program at Bolingbrook High School Feb. 20.
“How Numbers Work—A K-through-12 Look at Mathematics” will take place 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the high school and will feature conversations about the importance of multiplication and division skills, mental math, college and career readiness, graphing calculators and high school mathematics.
Although anyone may attend, the evening is specifically for parents and students from Jamie McGee and Independence elementary schools, Jane Addams Middle School, and Bolingbrook High School.
Attendees, who are asked to register for the evening through the “Parent” tab on each school’s website, should enter through Door 17 on the south side of BHS.
