Sodikoff meets with Cook County board president to address roadway issues
BURR RIDGE — Burr Ridge's Acting Village President Robert Sodikoff, Trustee Bob Grela and Village Administrator Steve Stricker met on Friday with Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle and John Yonan, Cook County department of transportation and highways superintendent, to discuss issues affecting both the county and village.
Among topics discussed were three issues that exist on roadways in Burr Ridge that are solely within the county's jurisdiction, including: traffic signal inadequacies, the poor condition of 79th Street and addressing that the left turn lane at County Line and Plainfield roads is not long enough, which results in traffic congestion.
In a news release, Burr Ridge officials said they looked forward to working with Cook County to resolve the outstanding issues.
