Funding finances streetscape beautification projects in Oak Brook
OAK BROOK — More than $923,000 in federal funding through the Illinois Transportation Enhancement Program will be directed to finance projects in the 24th Senate District, including $849,800 in Oak Brook and $73,440 in Glen Ellyn that state Sen. Kirk Dillard, R-Hinsdale, said will fund streetscape beautification projects.
"Each day, about 750,000 people travel through DuPage County," Dillard said in a news release. "These projects help to retain and attract business, while also enhancing the quality of life in DuPage, which remains a premier place to live and work."
Both Glen Ellyn and Oak Brook applied for the federal grant funding, which it will use for streetscape beautification projects.
