Author, radio host to speak in Bolingbrook on improving marriage
BOLINGBROOK– Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital, in conjunction with Living Water Community Church, will host a Dr. Gary Chapman marriage conference March 16.
Author of "The Five Love Languages", Dr. Chapman will speak on “The Marriage You’ve Always Wanted” from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, March 16 at the church, 190 Lily Cache Lane in Bolingbrook.
The conference costs $85 per couple or $45 for an individual.
This is the first time Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital and Living Water have hosted an event with Dr. Chapman.
Living Water Community Church Lead Pastor Ken Hansen believes patients and their families often look for ways to improve their marriage and strengthen their families and homes, turning to different organizations for help.
“I think one of the greatest things the hospital and we can offer our community is finding ways to help people strengthen their marriages,” Hansen said. “It’s really an act of love on our part, an act of service.
“They’re great people over there,” Hansen said of Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital. “They want to help the community, and that’s what we’re all about.”
With more than 35 years in family counseling, Dr. Chapman hosts “Love Language Minute,” a nationally syndicated radio program, and “Building Relationships with Dr. Gary Chapman” on Saturday mornings on more than 400 stations.
Dr. Chapman serves as senior associate pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, N.C.
