RIVERSIDE — A man accused of a lewd act during a Riverside Brookfield High School swim meet has been found not guilty of criminal trespass to property and disorderly conduct by a Cook County judge.

The trial for Lawrence E. Adamczyk, 49, of the 1600 block of Oregon Street in Rockford, took place last month. Judge Ramon Ocasio handed down his ruling Friday.

Adamczyk allegedly was masturbating in the bleachers during a boys swim meet at the high school last month. He told police he was “feeding from the energy of the school” and that he was aroused by the boys in their swimwear during a swimming competition that was taking place, according to Riverside police reports.

When police approached Adamczyk, who was sitting in the bleachers watching the meet, he allegedly told them he had children who were competing. After asking for the names of his kids, Adamczyk paused and then refused to answer.

He told police he would have attempted a sexual encounter with one of the swimmers, police said. He allegedly had taken the train from Chicago to Riverside, got off the train and walked west toward Brookfield Zoo, with his original intent to go to the zoo to look for boys to have oral sex with, according to police reports.

However, when Adamczyk walked by the front of the high school on Ridgewood Road, he “received a brainwave message from Hollywood recording artist Justin Bieber telling him to go to the school to see the kids.”

Riverside police released additional information about Adamczyk on Friday, including prior related cases.

In August 2003, Adamczyk was arrested by the Bloomingdale Police Department for an incident that took place at the Stratford Square Mall, where he was accused of grabbing a juvenile’s buttock in the food court at the mall. He was charged with battery and sentenced to 60 days in jail and 12 months probation.

The following month, Adamczyk was arrested by the Cherry Valley Police Department for an incident that took place at the Cherry Valley Mall after he allegedly inappropriately touched a female juvenile. The case was dismissed.
