Montini Catholic hosts health education seminar

LOMBARD — During the week of Jan. 21, Montini Catholic High School hosted guest speakers from the Amplify Youth Development organization to speak with freshman classes about the importance of mental and physical health.

The Amplify Youth Development organization works to provide local teens with information about holistic health education. The group emphasizes the importance of healthy choices in high school and in the future, and encourages students to consider the choice of sexual abstinence until marriage.

During the presentation at Montini, students learned about healthy relationships and the decision-making process. The guests from Amplify Youth Development also discussed the societal pressures teens face and how they can overcome peer pressure.
