Berwyn man arrested after buying Four Loko for boys in Riverside
RIVERSIDE — A Berwyn man was charged with contributing to the delinquency of minors after purchasing Four Loko alcoholic drinks for two juveniles, one of whom ended up in the hospital for alcohol poisoning on Jan. 19, police said.
Riverside police received a report from the Berwyn Police Department about a 15-year-old boy who was admitted to MacNeal Hospital for probable alcohol poisoning. Berwyn detectives learned that the alcohol was purchased by an adult for the boys at 11 p.m. Jan. 18 at the Minuteman service station, 3346 Harlem Ave., Riverside, according to police reports.
Ruben D. Rosas, 29, of the 3200 block of Wisconsin Avenue, Berwyn, was walking to the service station in Riverside when he met two juveniles he knew as his brother’s friends and allegedly agreed to purchase the drinks for the boys.
