Geneva officials are considering entering a lease with First Baptist Church of Geneva, 2300 South St., for Metra riders to use its parking lot while the third level of the downtown parking deck is being constructed.

The matter was discussed during Monday’s Geneva Committee of the Whole meeting and will likely be approved at next week’s city council meeting.

The church lot can hold 91 spaces.
