Bolingbrook armed robbery remains under investigation
BOLINGBROOK — An armed robbery was reported around 3:42 p.m. Jan. 8 in the 100 block of E. Boughton Road.
A 15-year-old male from Bolingbrook was walking behind the Honey Jam Café on the Winston Village side when he was approached by three black males. One of the offenders displayed a black handgun with a wood handle. All three offenders pushed the victim to the ground, removed his white hooded sweatshirt, t-shirt and blue jeans, and then fled on foot with the items, according to police.
The victim put his shoes back on, returned home in his basketball shorts and called the police.
Officers were unable to locate the offenders at the time of the call, but were able to gather information through a preliminary investigation.
The incident still remains under investigation.
