Tires slashed in Brookfield domestic dispute
BROOKFIELD — A relationship gone awry may have led to a recent report of slashed tires on a vehicle.
While investigating a Dec. 28 incident of two slashed tires in the 4400 block of Blanchan Avenue, Brookfield police discovered a note in a nearby home’s mailbox reading, “Steph is mine.” Police spoke with the woman’s former boyfriend and advised him to stay away, according to police reports.
On Dec. 29, police responded to the same address when the resident returned to discover the house had been ransacked. A TV, with an estimated value of $1,000, and a guitar, with an estimated value of $400, were reported broken.
Police contacted the same man to follow up. No charges have been filed.
