PNC Bank in Berwyn robbed Dec. 27
BERWYN — A man walked into a Berwyn PNC Bank and walked out with an undisclosed amount of money at 10 a.m. Dec. 27, according to police reports.
Police said the man walked into the bank at 6650 Cermak Road, approached a teller’s window and demanded $50 and $100 bills. The clerk told police she was afraid and handed the man the cash without hitting an emergency signal or giving him a pack of cash equipped with an exploding dye packet.
Police said the suspect was described as being Hispanic with light to medium skin, in his late 20s or early 30s, standing 5-foot-8-inches tall, wearing a black jacket with a hood and a scarf over his face.
He was last seen on foot heading east on Cermak Road. The FBI has taken the case.
