In the event of a teacher’s strike in West Chicago School District 33, the West Chicago Public Library District remains committed to serving the needs of the patrons of the district, a press release from the library states.

The library is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday and Saturday, and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

In addition to the regularly scheduled children’s programs and activities as outlined in the “Get Connected” winter newsletter, look for special “Kid Zone” activities at www.westchicago.lib.il.us.

For their safety and security, children under age 9 must have an adult with them at all times while using the library. For more information, contact the youth services manager at (630) 231-1552, ext. 3.
