Music by Matt Jones, Larry Dieffenbach to flavor Niche holiday dinner in Geneva

The staff of Niche restaurant in Geneva, along with pianist Larry Dieffenbach and Broadway vocalist and St. Charles native Matt Jones, will present “Fractured Fairy Tales and Christmas Carols” Thursday evening, Dec. 20.
Otherwise known as “Naughty Christmas,” the event offers holiday tales with a sarcastic twist paired with parodies on Christmas songs and carols. Organizers note that Executive Chef Serena Perdue has crafted a whimsical menu to accompany the show, and award-winning sommelier Vince Balistreri has hand selected wine pairings.
“Fractured Fairy Tales” and the three-course dinner will start at 6:30 p.m. The dinner costs $60 per person, with $25 additional for wine pairings.

• Hanukkah Latkes with Santa Claus: potato pancakes, with crab claw salad
• Christmas Tree Smoked “Reindeer”: Spruce-smoked elk, roasted cherry tomatoes, hominy grits, black pepper gravy
• “Don’t Eat the Yellow Snow”: devil’s food cake, coconut frosting, lemon curd
