Horrorbles to host Rose Law return to Berwyn for book signing on notorious past

“It’s not horror, but it’s pop-culture enough that we were happy to host this very special signing,” says Horrorbles owner John Aranza, noting the book was just released (www.lakeclaremont.com).

The publisher notes that Law’s career as a madam began in Berwyn when she was a cocktail waitress at Johnny’s 12th Street Rag Tavern, and first befriended by the mobsters who hung out there.

I had never felt more alive. I was Chicago’s reigning madam, providing $400-an-hour call girls to business owners, traders, lawyers, judges, politicians, mobsters, pro athletes, and Hollywood stars at addresses all over Chicago’s downtown and Gold Coast.”
