Elmhurst Eagles top Glen Ellyn for BGYFL Super Bowl title

Talk about a winning streak.
After sitting at 2-2 a month into the season, the Elmhurst Eagles won seven straight to close the year, including a 13-6 win over Glen Ellyn in the Bill George Youth Football League Super Bowl at Benedictine University Nov. 10.
The Eagles topped Downers Grove and Bloomingdale on the playoff road in the BGYFL 83-pound Silver Division postseason.
“We had a tremendous group of kids and coaches," Elmhurst coach Bart Lupa said. "They really committed to making themselves better, and turned into a great team. The memory of this season will last them a long time."
