A Berwyn man told police his poodle was bitten in the rear leg and his hand was scratched when a pit bull allegedly jumped a fence and attacked his dog, according to police reports.
The victim was walking in the 2100 block of Harvey Avenue about 3:56 p.m. Oct. 16 when the alleged attack occurred.
The owner of the pit bull told police she was in her backyard when the dog jumped over the fence. She admitted that her dog bit the other dog’s leg, according to police reports. She also claimed the victim was scratched by his poodle during the ensuing altercation and not by her pit bull, Sasha, police said.
Yadira Rodriguez, 38, of 2125 Harvey Ave., was issued an ordinance citation for a dog running at large, according to police reports.
