Geneva's Peck Lake disappearing because of drought

Geneva, IL

Geneva’s popular Peck Lake located in Peck Farm Park has less than two inches and two acres of water left after this summer’s drought.

Trish Burns, manager of the Peck Farm Park Interpretive Center, reports that a majority of the fish in the lake have died and the rest are expected to die during this winter’s freeze.

The lake usually contains eight acres of water with an average depth of two feet.
