Glenbard students to participate in mock election

Lombard, IL

Students at Lombard’s Glenbard East High School, and the other Glenbard schools, will get the opportunity to participate in mock elections in anticipation of the upcoming Nov. 6 election.

A grant from the DuPage Election Commission has outfitted Glenbard East with actual voting machines, ballots and vote tabulators that are used in polling places. This will give students the opportunity to mimic a real voting experience.

Elmhurst’s League of Women Voters will be at Glenbard East on Oct. 2 to help local election authorities and Glenbard teachers and students run the election.

The League of Women voters will also be helping eligible students register to vote.
