The suspect that robbed a West Chicago bank Tuesday morning appears to be the same suspect responsible for a bank robbery that occurred Thursday at BMO Harris, 191 E. Lake St., Bloomingdale, according to police.

Daniel Henry Mack, 34, of Tinley Park, was arrested Wednesday night in Villa Park, after police received a tip that a man allegedly involved in a bank robbery in West Chicago was in the area, according to the FBI’s Chicago office.

Villa Park and Lombard police departments located Mack at a gas station in Villa park and took him into custody.

Mack was charged with one count of bank robbery, after allegedly robbing the Fifth Third Bank at 1800 N. Neltor Blvd. in West Chicago Aug. 14.

According to the FBI, about $1,712 was taken during this incident.

The person who called the police with the tip claimed that Mack was also involved in robberies at Harris Bank, 191 E. Lake St. in Bloomingdale on Aug. 9 and the Citizens Financial Bank, 7229 S. Kingery Highway in Willowbrook on Aug. 16, although he did not receive any additional charges Wednesday.

Mack is also believed to have committed another bank robbery at the Fifth Third Bank, 2353 63rd St. in Woodridge late Tuesday afternoon, according to the FBI.

Mack will appear before U.S. Magistrate Judge Sidney I. Schenkier later today, where he will be formally charged.
