Glenbard East High School, along with two schools from Lombard District 44 did not make the classification for adequate yearly progress, according to data released by the Illinois State Board of Education.
Adequate yearly progress is a way to measure a school’s advances in reading in math, and is a way to hold schools accountable for students’ performances.
For 2011, Glenbard East did not achieve its adequate yearly progress targets. The school is designated as being in academic watch status year six. For failing to make adequate yearly progress status for six years, the school must implement a restructuring plan.
In Lombard District 44, Madison Elementary School and Glenn Westlake Middle School did not make the adequate yearly progress designation. Glenn Westlake and has been placed in academic warning, year two.
