Accidents increase with weather

Geneva, IL

The Geneva Fire Department is offering free fire safety inspections for residential homes.

Fire officials will point out any areas of hazard and provide information about home escape plans, smoke detector testing and fire extinguisher use.

Homeowners will receive a written report from the fire department, but no copies of the report will be kept by the city. Officials maintain that their only goal is make homeowners aware of any danger in their homes.
