First snow not causing major problems

Geneva, IL

The season's first snow, luckily, has not produced major problems on the roadway in town.

In fact, only one accident was reported this afternoon.

"I'm surprised that we only had one," said Geneva Police Commander Julie Nash.

And she said that she could not credit the weather as the sole cause of that accident.

Nash is reminding drivers to slow down, especially when the temperature is not very cold and causing a wet snow.

"The roads get very slick," Nash said.
